**NOTICE OF REGISTRATION FOR THE SPECIAL ELECTION

WHITEFISH TOWNSHIP

MAY 5, 2026**

All qualified electors of Whitefish Township, Michigan, are advised that a Special Election will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.

This election will include the following ballot proposal for voters in the Eastern Upper Peninsula Intermediate School District:

BALLOT LANGUAGE

Area Career and Technical Education Millage Renewal and Restoration Proposal

Shall the currently authorized millage rate limitation of .9892 mill ($0.9892 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation) on the amount of taxes which may be assessed against all property in the Eastern Upper Peninsula Intermediate School District, Michigan, to provide funds for area career and technical education programs, be renewed for a period of 10 years, 2027 to 2036, inclusive; and also be increased by .0108 mill ($0.0108 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation) for a period of 10 years, 2027 to 2036, inclusive; if the millage is approved, the intermediate school district will be authorized to levy area career and technical education millage at the rate of 1.00 mill ($1.00 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation) as previously approved by the electors on May 2, 2017, and, if levied in 2027, will collect approximately $3,280,256 from local property taxes authorized herein (this is a renewal of millage that will expire with the 2026 tax levy and a restoration of millage lost as a result of the reduction required by the Michigan Constitution of 1963).

VOTER REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Residents may register to vote or update their voter registration at any time up to and including Election Day.

The Township Clerk will be available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday prior to the election for voter registration assistance and for issuing and receiving absentee ballot applications and ballots.
